The Conservative Rural Affairs Group very much welcomes the initiative shown by the Department of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs in increasing investment and support of the institute of Animal Health at Pirbright.

This recognises the importance of animal health research, and the development of vaccines that CRAG has been pressing on Ministers for some time. This initiative is particularly important in connection with the extremely urgent need to tackle the BTB epidemic that continues to increase

Our meeting in November went off very well. The resolutions can be seen in To DEFRA and the Minutes in the MINUTES sections of the website
