At the recent Conservative Party Conference in Manchester, CRAG was pleased to hold a seminar on Rural Housing, Diversification, and the Way Forward.
Fifty members and guests enjoyed a lively speech given by Dr Thérèse Coffey, MP for Suffolk Coastal and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra), followed by a short question and answer session.
Also speaking were Colin Clark, MP for Gordon, on the subject of Scottish agriculture and produce, and Nusrat Ghani and Rebecca Pow, MPs for Wealden and Taunton Dean respectively, on the upcoming Agriculture Bill, Brexit, and general Defra policies.
The event was kindly sponsored by Chattertons Agricultural Solicitors, whose representatives Alex Keenan and Daniel Elkington gave presentations on rural tenancies and planning issues.
