Lord Abergavenny, Chairman of Conservative Rural Affairs Group (CRAG), recently wrote to members to update them as to the group's plans and activities.
He highlighted the presentation of CRAG's Countryside Policy Paper first to George Eustice, Minister of State at the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and then to the Secretary of State Andrea Leadsom.
He also discussed a more detailed policy paper regarding Direct Payments and Insurance possibilities that is being produced by Andrew Davis, CRAG's regional officer for Wessex, as well as offering news on the group's recruitment drive and changes in personnel.
